NZTE Management training assistance scheme

The New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) Enterprise Training Programme programme of fully funded workshops, coaching and capability assessments came to an end on 30 June 2010. However, some funding is still available and you may now receive a subsidy to attend a BDO public workshop.

NZTE’s Management Training Assistance Scheme is available to businesses with fewer than 50 employees, whose owners or managers attend a relevant management capability workshop between 1 July and 30 September 2010.  You may be eligible to half the cost of a relevant workshop, reimbursed by NZTE, up to a maximum of $250 (inc gst).

Management Training Assistance Scheme

NZTE’s Management Training Assistance Scheme is available to eligible businesses whose owners or managers attend a relevant management capability training course or workshop between 1 July 2010 and 30 September 2010.

You will need to submit an application for reimbursement of 50 percent of your management capability training attendance fee (up to a maximum of $250 including GST) by 30 October 2010.

This means that if you attend an eligible training workshop or course and spend $500 (inc GST) on the fee you can apply for reimbursement of $250 (inc GST).  If you spend $600 (inc GST) you can apply for reimbursement of $250 (inc GST).

NZTE also encourage you to complete an assessment of your business using a tool such as the New Zealand Business Capability Assessment. This will help you develop a plan to grow your business, after which you can talk to local advisors about the best way to progress it.
